Do you know where to get hard copies or paper copies of corruption cases in Nigeria for free?

If your answer is yes, then raise your thumb. But, if not, don’t worry, but read the step-by-step details of where and how to get the free copies here.

I am so pretty that, like me, you may have spent valuable time, resources, and energy obtaining a certified true copy of a case or cases in which you were involved or interested.

But today, CLEEN Foundation, a non-governmental organization supported by the MacArthur Foundation, is making it possible online or offline.

It comes with the association of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Lagos-Nigeria branch with Dele Oloke as president.

Speaking on Friday, February 7, 2020, during the official launch of the Lagos State Lodging Center for Corruption Trials at the NBA Secretariat (The Bar) in Ikeja, Benson Olugbuo, PhD, executive director of the foundation, said that the project is aimed at promoting accountability and transparency in the administration of the criminal justice system in Nigeria.

Olugbuo explained that the end result of the entire project is to promote judicial transparency in the processing of anti-corruption cases and ultimately improve accountability in the criminal justice system.

Represented by Blessing Abiri, program manager of the foundation, the DE appointed legal professionals, law enforcement agencies, judges, lawyers, prosecutors, defendants, civil society organizations, government agencies, academics and researchers as those who will directly benefit from the project.

Actually, it mainly seeks to monitor the cases related to the ACJA 2015 system through a web platform: uwazi, which is functional, accessible and available to the public through: www.cleen.uwazi.io.

It is in this context that the NBA has been selected to serve as a partner for host the resource center in Lagos, which will serve as a repository for hard copies of court judgments on corruption-related cases and / or financial crime cases related to the administration of criminal justice to facilitate access and use of lawyers and our state partners, he said.

The CLEEN chief further explained that the Lagos State Working Group meeting has now been realigned to hold a Bimonthly and everyone is expected to commit to the center to advance its work in the judicial system.

Oloke, Ikeja’s NBA president, was so excited about the project and promised to encourage the more than 7,000 lawyers in Lagos to join it.
