NEEM Scheme Earn and Learn Training Program

The earn and learn training program is designed exclusively for those candidates who are qualified but not qualified according to the company requirements. This NEEM scheme converts unskilled youth into skilled labor. And at the same time they can earn while learning. They have talent and merit, but they cannot afford higher education. In this program, students will complete On-the-Job Training (OTJT) in relevant industries, where they will work to gain practical knowledge and experience.

The on-the-job training earn-and-learn program can be a good opportunity for unskilled youth to gain industry-standard skills and experience. Thus, the youth become independent while they learn themselves. They get quality work experience from reputable organizations. It will help unemployed youth build skills through Learning by Doing and Learn While You Earn along with access to practical skills.

Indian government with the help of AICTE, developed and implemented a win-win program called ‘Earn and Learn’ under the NEEM scheme. It is a work-study scheme that provides an advantage in the professional development of students from towns/semi-urban areas. This Earn & Learn program is that initiative that bridges the gap between industry requirements and young people who are virtually unskilled.

This program can be used by anyone who wants to improve their standard of living and is between the ages of 18 and 24. Apprentices gain valuable work experience that leads to better career progression and acceptance by industries. Apprentices also receive some remuneration. Neem agents committed to developing world-class skills including a best-in-class mindset, benchmark productivity, safety, and discipline. The NEEM agent will pay all enrolled NEEM trainees a stipend that will be equal to the minimum wage prescribed for the unskilled category. The remuneration will be paid as a single consolidated amount. In addition to the monthly stipend, essential facilities such as dining room, insurance, etc. will be provided to each on-the-job training student as per company policy.

The Indian government focuses on developing the technical skill levels of new students and turning them into qualified industry-ready candidates. At the end of the course, they can be employees of the same company or free to work in another company. It’s a win-win situation for both the student and the industry. After completing on-the-job training and work experience, students become the preferred choice of any recruiter in the coming year. Apprentices gain financial independence as they receive a stipend.

The apprentice will be able to explore his subject preferences and develop it into a career. After completing the NEEM training, candidates will earn a course completion certificate. By this certificate they are able to do work in their preferred company. Students will enroll in an online course in social skills, English, and computers. For students, internships provide much-needed industry exposure and hands-on work experience. They can have the opportunity to work in real teams and in a real work culture.

These jobs help young people develop professional skills, dignity at work, customer relations, and other aspects of business. Today, the number of people who are exploring internships has increased considerably. The Earn & Learn program has also become desirable as it gives them an edge over other students and helps them to really be sure of what they want in their careers. This paid internship appeals to today’s generation as they like to explore and try new things before settling on long-term plans.

We need to create awareness among the student community that the skilled workforce earns much more than other professionals. The formal and informal sectors of the employee category will receive skill upgrade options through credential-based educational programs. This program builds a matching infrastructure that connects youth with corporate skills requirements.
