I enjoy being a former member of the bankrupt middle class

There is nothing wrong with being broke. Many of us are now. It’s good to be humbled and brought down while those who did it to us bask and thrive in the glow of warm ocean climes. I am so sick and tired of hearing “…and the rich get richer”. Can’t we all just get over it? Where is the love? The dark knights of high finance and grotesque moral integrity got what they wanted: they screwed over little ones like you and me, gleefully stepping on our heads on their way to monetary nirvana. It is the American style.

The common man and woman really do not deserve a ransom. They are reserved for the high and mighty. You have to be too big to fail before you can profit from that charade. And, my friends, we are short and pitiful, so we don’t deserve any government help using our own tax dollars. Stop the blame game. We probably deserve it for not being rich in the first place. We have no one to blame but ourselves. And they got Bernie Madoff, right? What else do you want? Let’s not be greedy. That is reserved for the great and almighty greats.

We must take responsibility for our own discomfort. Sure, we buy lottery tickets and participate in the Publisher’s Clearinghouse giveaways, but what good has that done? We needed to have been more proactive in the derivatives and subprime markets to have a real chance. We missed the big one.

We just woefully lack knowing how to stick with the less fortunate for big profits like Wall Street and the too big to fail banking industry have done. Again, accept your fate and luck in life, then move on, especially if you have lost your home. In that sad case, you’ll have to take “move on” literally.
