How to Seek Spiritual Confirmation from God

Our actions in the spirit world can often be misdirected by our own imagination and worldly wisdom. This makes it imperative to seek confirmation from the Lord before acting. By doing so, we strengthen our faith and belief in our actions and ensure that we are working with God. Below are some of the ways we can seek confirmation from God.

1. Set a time frame

Setting the time when we should receive this confirmation removes the doubt of acting impatiently. There are times when we can desire something from God. Our intuition knows where we can get what we want, but we want to make sure we’re not acting under the influence of our own wisdom. By setting a time limit in which we must wait to see if the Lord tells us otherwise, we are giving control to God. Most of the time we would follow our instincts. However, if these instincts are likely to be wrong, then this time frame allows us to see this mistake and have our Lord confirm whether or not it was right for us.

2. Ask others for confirmation

Other times we can seek confirmation from people. We can ask God to send someone to tell us whether or not what we are seeking is what he wants from us. We must remember that our Lord is a miraculous God and nothing is impossible for him. If we ask him for this, he will give it to us. This isn’t testing God, it’s making sure we don’t act irrationally. The thing to remember is to learn how to keep track of the commit. What this means is that if the answer is no, then we must let it go. If it was meant to be, God would always show us another way to get what we want or even the same way we had been thinking in due time of him. If we cannot follow up on what we said, we would lose confidence in our means of confirmation.

3. Looking into the Scriptures

We can also ask our Lord to guide us through his Holy Bible. We can ask him to show us the words to read that open our minds to what he wants from us. The Scriptures teach us to ask in order to receive. It teaches us that if we sincerely ask through our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, then our wish will come true. If we ask for confirmation from the Scriptures, then we will receive it.

4. Prayer

Sometimes we may not know by what means we wish to receive this confirmation. We may know that it is something we want. If we ask this in prayer letting our thoughts be known to the Lord, He will answer our prayers. We must remember here that it is not the words we say that allow the Lord to know our desire. Our spirits convey this message to you no matter what we say.

5. Fasting

Fasting strengthens our faith in God and allows us to believe that we have worked for our desires. We can request that a confirmation be received during or after our fast. The response we get after this time is the response we must take to determine our actions.

The thing to remember when looking for confirmation is that we should always trust the result, whether positive or negative. What is also important here is that we did not initiate this commit to work in our favor.
