Ellen DeGeneres and the Law of Attraction

Ellen’s life is getting better these days. His talk show is popular. He has landed a highly sought after job as a judge on American Idol. She even got Oprah to put her on the cover of O Magazine. Could things be better? Okay, yes. He is in a loving relationship and seems to radiate joy and fun. What a difference from the moment she “came out” and everything seemed to fall apart for her. What’s up with that? How did things change so much for her?

In a 2009 graduation speech at Tulane University, she talks about where she was when everything fell apart in her life. How even though he had a successful sitcom, he felt like he wasn’t being authentic because no one knew he was gay. Ellen had a lot of fear energy at the time – if people knew she was gay, they wouldn’t like her, they wouldn’t laugh anymore, and they wouldn’t watch her comedy. “I lived with so much shame and so much fear that I could no longer live that way, and I decided to go out and ‘free myself’ from this heaviness that I was carrying.” His worst fears came true. She lost her sitcom and, according to her, her phone didn’t ring for three years.

Are all the Gay Bashers dead?

Ellen’s situation is one of the most succinct examples of how the Law of Attraction works. How could his reality change so much in three years? Who is responsible for this reality to change? Did all the anti-gay people die and leave? Hardly. They recently repealed the gay marriage law in California. Gay haters are alive and well, and apparently many live in California. So if no external force changed, then the only thing that changed is Ellen.

The Universe, which does not hear words, but reacts to the energy of our thoughts and emotions, did what it always does. It brought manifestations of Ellen that matched her energy. When I was afraid of the judgment of others, the universe found that coincidence in the others who were judging. Same frequency. She couldn’t match the millions who don’t give a damn about sexual orientation, because she wasn’t compatible with them. She was the one who focused her thoughts from what she wanted to what she didn’t want. The Law of Attraction works with the energy we emit. When your focus is on what you don’t want, you will get what you don’t want. Gay bullies are still out there. Ellen is no longer a match for them, so she doesn’t attract those people.

I would not change anything

Ellen says she wouldn’t change anything about her past, and who could blame her? She has come out of this thriving and living the life she always wanted to live. When we are in the midst of circumstances that we do not want vehemently, there is an energy equal to what we want that emanates from us. We’ve gathered so much energy, and if we can stop focusing on what is and instead stubbornly focus on where we want to be, things will turn out just as magnificently for us as they have for Ellen.
