Do you know that 70% of women monitor or control their men? If you did not know it, now you do. Some of the women claim that they are not actually keeping an eye on their men, but are just concerned about their well-being and just checking on them.
The whole topic of ladies controlling their men/boyfriends, as they claim, has become a hot topic of discussion nowadays. There are several reasons why this is happening. These reasons can be classified into two categories: what women say and what men say about it.
I have dedicated today’s article to exploring this social issue that threatens to break up many relationships and marriages.

Some women argue that they check on their men to make sure they are safe because they feel insecure whenever they are not together. The insecurity is due to the fact that men get involved in various activities while fighting for their family and relaxing. As a result, they may fall victim to some horrible acts. This causes their women to check on them to make sure they are safe wherever they are at any given time.
On the other hand, some men are drunks; as a result, they are victims of terrible situations such as being involved in an accident or even being accused by the authority for driving under the influence of alcohol (a traffic violation). Having helped their men in some of these situations in the past makes women fear that their spouses could be victimized again. For this reason, they will always check on them to make sure they are safe.

Some women argue that they are forced to watch their men due to a lack of confidence. They point out that some men are very promiscuous and cannot be trusted. The fear of their men messing with other women makes them keep controls. If men want their women to stop controlling them, then they must build trust by being faithful.

According to men, the following are reasons why some women monitor their men or control them as they claim.
I. Due to insecurity.
Some men argue that most women check up on their men because they are insecure. They claim that a famous saying has emerged and it is affecting the way most of them relate to their men. According to the adage, “A man is yours only when you are with him.” Most women tend to believe this adage so much that they constantly call their spouse claiming they are controlling them.
What men forget is that they are the cause of this insecurity. The way men behave when they are away from their spouses creates a lot of insecurity. When women feel safe, they develop confidence and won’t control their men from time to time.
ii. Cause she’s been hurt in the past
There is a group of men who claim that women, who watch over their men, have been hurt before. They are afraid that the same horrible things could happen again in their current relationship or marriage. The fear that her current man, for example, will cheat on her makes the lady constantly call her man. A woman does everything she can to make sure she doesn’t go through situations similar to what she had before. Men should treat their spouses well and they can be sure that they will not be bothered with continuous calls throughout the day.

Lack of trust according to men is the cause of constant calls from their spouses. They claim that their spouses’ lack of trust causes them to pester them with “unnecessary calls.”
