Toy dogs are loved by many. They are loyal and intelligent and especially good at learning tricks. They are characterized by being very affectionate and loyal to their owners.

Before this time, dogs and puppies were bred to increase useful skills and useful traits for the duties for which they were intended. Breeds in some breed groups today suffer from many more genetic problems than in the past.
