10 reasons to start playing Warhammer 40k now
Here are ten reasons why I think everyone should play Warhammer 40k (WH 40k):
(1) Huge user base. The Warhammer 40k board game has been around for decades and the user base is constantly growing. While most other games have been overshadowed by the video game market, the Warhammer 40k tabletop game continues to grow. You will never run out of people to play with.
(2) Fun pastime. WH 40k is a game, but it is much more than that. It’s a fun hobby to get into.
(3) Get away from the computer! I love computers. I have played with them since I was a little boy. I blog and do all my work on my computer. The amazing thing about Warhammer 40k is that I can turn off my computer and disconnect from the “online” world for a while. It’s a great way to reconnect with the “real world” while having fun.
(4) It makes you smarter. The WH 40k board game exercises your mind because it requires creativity, strategy, and planning. All of those things contribute to a healthier brain. Video games without a brain do not.
(5) Personalization. You can customize your 40k army to make it unique to you. Be different, be yourself, be unique.
(6) Your friends will be amazed at your models. All your friends are going “ooooohh” and “ahhhh” over your amazingly painted models. You can hide the ones that didn’t work out.
(7) Girls will want to go out with you. The right kind of girls will want to go out with you. You know which ones I’m talking about. 🙂
(8) No more senseless violence in video games. Why subject your mind to the pointless, brain-numbing violence of video games when you can have so much more fun and get smarter by playing Warhammer 40k? As much fun as your next violent video game, with the added benefit of developing brain cells as you play.
(9) Cheaper than most hobbies. Although the amount of money you can spend on Warhammer 40k is endless if you have money to spend, it doesn’t cost much to start and it’s amazing. Compare the WH 40k to any other hobby and you will see that it is definitely much more profitable.
(10) Warhammer 40k can extend your life. Painting the models is fun, meditative and relieves STRESS. Stress has been shown to be one of the world’s top killers. So if WH 40k relieves stress, it also means it can save your life. 🙂
