DVD-VHS recorders can easily transfer any type of movie from VHS cassettes to DVDs or from DVDs to VHS cassettes. They also have playback, erase, and high dubbing options. These recorders can be connected to the TV with any video connection, such as S-Video and component/progressive video. On some recorders, users can also watch DVD and VHS movies simultaneously without changing connections. Audio and video quality can also be improved. Other options include progressive scan, one-touch copying from VHS to DVD or DVD to VHS, custom audio preferences, ability to skip parts of the movie, surround sound capabilities, analog and Firewire AV inputs, video processing for improve image quality, flexibility in recording and playback, more disk space of 80 GB, 160 GB or more and many others.
